Ever since Sourav Ganguly was seen sitting in the dugout of the Delhi Capitals, there came the questions of conflict of interest on the former skipper of India. Regarding the same, the Bengal Cricket President Sourav Ganguly wrote a letter to Ombudsman by giving his explanation.

Meanwhile, one of the BCCI sources revealed that there can be no rule, which would deny Sourav Ganguly from sitting in the dugout of the Delhi Capitals’ franchise. However, a final call will be taken after Retired Justice meeting with Sourav Ganguly in person.

Cricket Association of Bengal President Sourav Ganguly will not be barred from sitting in the IPL team Delhi Capitals‘ dug-out. Despite a conflict of interest complaint against him, he is likely to depose in person before the BCCI ombudsman in the matter, a top BCCI official said Wednesday.

Dk Jain to meet Sourav Ganguly in person:

Recently,  just a few days ahead of the tournament, Sourav Ganguly signed a deal for Delhi Capitals. He will be the advisor of the team. Despite that, he was seen sitting in the dugout alongside Ricky Ponting during the progress of the match.

Delhi Capitals made quite a few changes to the latest edition of the tournament. They made wholesome changes with a new set of players and the support staff. But the signing of Sourav Ganguly came as a great boost for the team, as he can offer a lot to the team.

In between, many in the BCCI believe that there is no case of conflict of interest. So, Ganguly can comfortably continue in both his roles. However, it will be announced officially once the final meeting with Ganguly is completed.

As far as the Delhi Capitals is concerned, currently, they are placed sixth in the points table with three wins and the same number of losses. In their next assignment, they will head to Eden Garden to face Kolkata Knight Riders. In between, it is a home-coming for Sourav Ganguly.
