Of late, social media has become a great platform to let the fans and celebrities interact with each other. The fans are free to point out anything on a certain player or on a certain team, as there is a freedom to express their opinions out on social media. Meanwhile, in one of those tweets, RCB made a mess by pointing out the name of Ashok Dinda directly after Umesh Yadav bowling a blistering spell.
Ashok Dinda has always been trolled by the Indian fans, as he used to leak runs for his side be it in the Indian Premier League or during his stint in the Indian National Cricket Team. Soon, the fans started trolling every bowler to join Ashok Dinda’s academy whenever they leak runs for the team.
Of late, Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav have been leaking runs more often than not. They have had a hard time for RCB in the first half of the tournament, which saw them being trolled by listing them on Dinda’s academy on social media.
Meanwhile, after Umesh Yadav’s heroics against Kings XI Punjab, RCB twitter panel tweeted asking the fans What is Dinda Academy in a proud manner by displaying the picture of Umesh Yadav with his brilliant bowling figures.
But, it didn’t went down well, as they should’t troll an international player, especially, representing such a top-class franchise. The fans went against RCB, who deleted the tweet within few moments. They also gave a clarification on the tweet, which they made earlier.
Reason for the delete:
Their tweet read ”As some of you pointed out, the previous version of this tweet was in bad taste. However, for all of you who have relentlessly trolled this lad, he said #challengeAccepted and bowled his heart out! 4-0-36-3, 15 off his last two overs & 2 wickets in those! ”
Well, it would be interesting to see whether Ashok Dinda makes any comment on the issue. Coming back to the tournament, Royal Challengers are on a roll by winning 4 out of their last 5 games in the tournament. They need to win remaining three games and hope for the other results to go in their way to qualify for playoffs.
