The last few months of Shakib Al Hasan is all about his availability for the team. The flamboyant cricketer from Bangladesh has suffered a finger injury. It kept him away from the team in the international matches as well. However, he made a successful recovery from it and finally got the way to travel to India to join Sunrisers Hyderabad.

He played an initial couple of matches for the team and then failed to break into the playing XI, as the combinations did not work in his favour. He was replaced by Mohammad Nabi, who did brilliantly for the team to bag those crucial victories for the team.

We have sent a letter to Shakib Al Hasan – BCB

It is learnt via Cricbuzz that the Bangladesh Cricket Board has sent a letter to Shakib Al Hasan asking him to attend the camp for the preparations. On Tuesday, BCB announced him as the deputy of Mashrafe Mortaza.

“We have sent him the letter yesterday. He is expected to join us on April 22nd or 23rd,” Akram Khan, BCB’s cricket operations committee chairman, said on Tuesday (April 16).

Despite staying away from the playing XI, he could have been the handy option for Sunrisers Hyderabad, as the game is going to the second stage.  From now on, pitches would favour the spinners, which would have been a great chance for Hyderabad to utilise Shakib Al Hasan.

Currently, Sunrisers Hyderabad is at fifth place in the tournament. They got three wins out of their 7 matches. In the next assignment, they will take on Chennai Super Kings in their own venue. As far as Bangladesh is concerned,  they will start their world cup campaign by locking horns with South Africa.
