Brand Ambassador of Rajasthan Royals, Shane Warne wished all the IPL teams as the 12th edition of the cash-rich league is just a few hours away from commencement. The former great leg-spinner picked Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals to make it to the playoffs. He went a step further and predicted a title win for the Rajasthan Royals in their new pink attire.
“Good luck to all the teams in the @IPL which starts tmrw ! I fancy Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata & the @rajasthanroyals to make the play offs & for the RR’s to win it this year in pink. The RR squad looks full of match winners, X factor players plus some glue in the middle! Agree?” Shane Warne wrote.

The opener of the tournament will be played from 8 pm today. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and it is expected to be a nail-biting thriller. Both teams have equally talented players who have the ability to change the whole complexion of the game within a few deliveries.

With names likes MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in charge of things it is expected to be a humdinger and my gut feeling is Royal Challengers Bangalore will start their tourney with a victory. This might well be the make or break season for Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Despite having a strong squad on all the previous occasions, RCB has failed to win the tournament even once which have mad them one of the perennial underachievers of the tournament long with Delhi Capitals.
Meanwhile coming back to Rajasthan Royals, they made a terrific comeback last year and made it to the playoffs after losing 7 of their first 10 matches. The inclusion of Jos Buttler at the top of the order did wonders for Rajasthan Royals as they eeked out Mumbai Indians to qualify for the playoffs. They have a balanced unit this year and will definitely look to come close to winning the tournament after the inaugural edition.
