Australian spin wizard Shane Warne, who’s outspoken, has made bold remarks once again. He maintained he often had a belief of not having a coach at the top-level cricket. The brand ambassador of Rajasthan Royals (RR), Warne has often praised the pool of talented players. Meanwhile, the IPL 2019 will kick-off on March 23 in Chennai.
However, he believes domestic set-up needs such coaches who could nurse the players to meet the criterion of the international fold.
You don’t need a coach at Int’l level: Warne:

While shedding the light on the expansion of coaching staff in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Warne cited the domestic set-up would require the mentors in shaping the young crop of cricketers. But he is categorically against the coaching in the elite cricket.
“I have always believed in international cricket, you don’t need a coach. But domestic cricket, first-class cricket, you need coaches as you have so many young players that need help,” Warne told PTI.
The 49-year-old Warne, who himself bagged 708 Test scalps in 145 matches, believes too many coaches at the helm of affairs could leave players c0nfused in taking the decisions.
“If you have too many coaches, in order to justify their positions, they confuse a player,” Warne added.
Warne wants players to focus on the basics:

While backing his comment, Warne stated inputs from distinct coaches with different perceptions will definitely leave players puzzled. He added those players should focus on the fundamentals of the game to excel on their respective assignments.
“Because so many different coaches give them different messages. They think differently. You can’t confuse a player too much. Stick to the absolute basics of the game, have some fun and you will generally do well,” he said.
Warne himself has backed his instincts to weave magic on the cricket world by deceiving world-class batters from time-to-time. He has delivered things according to the expectations.
The prominent figure Warne stressed upon keeping basics right and work according to the situation would reap the rewards for the cricketers. He added there are many who are trying to set hurdles.
Besides, he has cited upon the catching which holds importance as one of the aspects of gentleman’s game.
“I think what I am is that I don’t want to reinvent the wheel. Cricket is a very simple game and too many people complicate it. You want to be a better catcher, catch more balls,” he stated.
Warner further believes the professionals are bound to learn things on their own. Before sign off, Warne has there some simple procedures to follow which a player could adjust according to a situation by gain a bit of experience.
