Initially, it was Sanju Samson’s century, which was the highlight of the first innings alongside Ajinkya Rahane’s handy knock. In the second innings, it was David Warner, Bairstow and Vijay Shankar, who turned the things in favour of SRH.

Speaking of the loss, the Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Ajinkya Rahane quoted saying that the credit goes to Sunrisers’ batsmen for their positive approach in the chase. He also lauded David Warner for his special knock in the powerplay overs.
‘First of all, 190+ on that wicket was really good. Initially, when Sanju and I were batting the wicket looked slow – it was stopping a coming – and we thought 150 was a good total. Credit goes to their batsmen,” Ajinkya Rahane said.
It is tough to stop David Warner:
David Warner played a sensational knock in the powerplay overs to help SRH get a quickfire start. Speaking of the same, Rahane quoted that it is tough to stop a batsman like Warner when he is in full flow.
”But when players like Warner bat like that there is a very small margin for us. They didn’t lose any momentum when someone got out and they played really well,” he added.
On Sanju Samson:
And, finally, it was a bit of tough luck for Sanju Samson to end on the wrong side of things. However, Rahane wants Samson to continue his blistering form with the bat.
”We all know how talented Sanju is. He will go miles and consistency is going to be the key for him,” he said in the post-match presentation.
All in all, it wasn’t a great day at the office for Rajasthan Royals. However, they have got quite a few positives to take out of the match. Now, they will travel Chennai to take on MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Currently, they are with zero points in their kitty.
