ToggleSunrisers Hyderabad could only post a below-par score of 160. Rajasthan Royals skipper Steven Smith won the toss and decided to bowl first in the 45th match of the Indian Premier League. Sunrisers Hyderabad had a new opening pair as Jonny Bairstow has returned back to England. Meanwhile, Kane Williamson was back for the Orange Army and opened the innings with Warner.
However, the visitors could not get off to a good start as Kane Williamson was cleaned up by Shreyas Gopal. Gopal was able to bamboozle the Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper to give a fine start to the Royals. David Warner and Manish Pandey who had posted a fine partnership in the previous match once again added a good partnership.

Pandey scored back to back fifties.
Warner and Williamson added a fine alliance of 75 runs for the second wicket partnership. Manish Pandey completed back to back fifties and brought his best to the table. Pandey brought his fifty in 27 balls. However, the right-hander lost his balance and he was stumped by Sanju Samson after making 61 runs. The right-hander scored nine fours in his knock.
Meanwhile, David Warner scored 37 runs from 32 balls. In fact, Warner could not score any boundaries in his knock. Warner went against Oshane Thomas and got a top edge which was brilliantly taken by Rajasthan Royals captain Steven Smith.

Middle Order haunts SRH once again.
Shreyas Gopal was once again the pick of the Rajasthan Royals as he scalped two wickets. The leg-spinner was right on the money and reaped fruits for his accuracy.
Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar disappointed once again as he flummoxed by Varun Aaron’s slower one. Jaydev Unakat took a fine catch while coming forward and Shankar was dismissed after scoring eight runs. Unadkat took a fine return catch to dismiss Deepak Hooda for a golden duck.
Rajasthan Royals bowlers came back in style as they didn’t let the batters off the hook. There were no freebies and the hosts were able to tighten the screws. In fact, Sunrisers Hyderabad batting order collapsed like a house of cards.
