Rajasthan Royals were able to cruise to a convincing win of seven wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 45th match of ongoing IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad was able to post 160 after Rajasthan Royals skipper Steven Smith had won the toss and decided to bowl first. Manish Pandey continued his good form as the right-hander scored back to back fifties. The right-hander was the top run-scorer for the Hyderabad team as he scored 61 runs off just 36 balls with the help of nine fours.
Meanwhile, David Warner had a chance to hit six fifties on the trot which would have been a record in IPL history. However, Warner felt 13 runs short of the landmark. In fact, the southpaw batsman scored 37 runs from 32 balls and had boundaries in his innings.

Great show from RR.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals bowlers were able to pick up the slack in the fag end of the innings. Sunrisers Hyderabad could add only 39 runs in the final five overs and lost five wickets. Thus, the visitors lost the plot in the death overs.
Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas, Shreyas Gopal and Jaydev Unadkat scalped two wickets each for the hosts.
Meanwhile, Liam Livingstone was promoted as an opener with former skipper Ajinkya Rahane. The England batsman was the aggressor in the opening partnership as the right-hander scored a fine knock of 44 runs off just 26 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. However, Livingstone’s innings was ended by Rashid Khan who was able to produce the inside edge which was nicely taken by Wriddhiman Saha.

Rahane continued his good form but could not breach the gap when he went for the inside out shot and David Warner took a fine catch coming forward. Rahane made 34-ball 39 runs with the help of four fours and one six.
Sanju Samson was able to hit the ground running and Steven Smith also gave good support to the flamboyant batsman. Rajasthan Royals cruised to a convincing win.
Here is how Twitter reacted:
I am always flummoxed about why Sanju Samson isn't playing at the highest level. He has everything needed. I would be very keen to know what is coming in the way of consistency, which is what is preventing him from being a regular India player.

Hadn't seen Liam Livingstone bat but had heard a lot about his ability to hit a cricket ball. He got his favoured batting position today and has shown why he had that reputation.
