Ahead of the start of the much-anticipated clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, fans would have expected a few fireworks from the star-studded batting lineup of Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, it wasn’t the case as Chennai’s spinners rolled out RCB.
Spinners kept Chennai Super Kings on top:
Initially, it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won the toss and chose to bat first. The pitch looked pretty supportive to the spinners, which made MS Dhoni hand new ball to Harbhajan Singh Dhoni alongside Deepak Chahar.

Harbhajan did the job more than enough by rattling the top-order of CSK. Initially, he sent the run-machine Virat Kohli back to the hut and then followed it up by taking a return catch of Moeen Ali.
His heroics further continued when he sent back AB de Villiers with his masterful bowling. However, it was the effort of Ravindra Jadeja in the deep, which gave a wicket for Harbhajan, who created chances in consecutive deliveries.

The troubles further stretched when Shimron Hetmyer walked back for a duck in search of a quick single near Suresh Raina. Once the top-order failed, the spinner rattled through the defence of the rest of the lineup.
Harbhajan Singh Finished with three wickets while Imran Tahir showed his worth as a spinner by rattling the tail-enders with ease. In between, Parthiv Patel played a decent knock at the other end by adjusting to the wicket pretty nicely.
Imran Tahir finished with a brilliant spell of 4 overs 9 runs 3 wickets. However, Harbhajan Singh was the star of the first innings, who bagged a few big fishes in his kitty. In the end, Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to score 70 runs on the board.

Dhoni has read this wicket perfectly. Pulling out Harbhajan and getting him to produce a potentially match winning spell…..

Smart Captains will always prevail over Smart Stats. Dhoni understands the T20 pulse better than most. #IPL #CSKvRCB

MS Dhoni Trolls Sir Jadeja. Goes for the review just to console him and then told him no it's Not OUT even before umpire gave the review decision. ???#IPL2019 #CSKvRCB pic.twitter.com/AWljS2HWkE

Bowler friendly pitches are nice….but it’s a little too lopsided in spinners’ favour. And #RCB have only two spinning options. #CSKvRCB #IPL

Don't be disheartened my fellow RCBians, we have improved a lot and managed to go past 49 runs. Rejoice! #IPL
