The bond with Indian National Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli and football team captain Sunil Chhetri is nothing new. Kohli has more than often urged to support the Indian Football team whenever they play any game. Chhetri has also acknowledged it and the duo shares a good rapport. Recently, Chhetri visited Kohli at the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) camp and both of them had some good time together.

RCB keen to end the drought

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is currently gearing up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). Bangalore captained by Kohli is yet to lift the coveted title in the past 11 years. As a result, they are desperate to end the barren run in this tournament. Often Kohli’s leadership qualities have come under the scanner and the India skipper is keen to change things for good. Besides, this will also be the preparatory ground for the talismanic run-scorer ahead of the World Cup.

The franchise have always boasted good batsmen; however, they have lacked proper bowling attack. Virat Kohli is eager to end the drought season and has recruited some quality bowlers in the auctions. Moreover, the last time they reached the knockout stages was in 2016 when they lost the final to Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2017 they finished at the bottom of the league while in 2018 they ended sixth.

In a bid to change their fortune, the players are looking confident and are putting in the extra yards in the training session. Amidst the training session, Virat Kohli invited Sunil Chhetri to speak to the boys at Royal Challengers Bangalore and motivate them ahead of the 12th edition of the league.

Soon after the session, Kohli took to Twitter to acknowledge the presence of Chhetri. He also admitted that it was fun having him at the camp. Meanwhile, Sunil Chhetri recently led Bengaluru FC to their maiden Indian Super League title last weekend.

Was fun to have you around yesterday skip ?@chetrisunil11 #topguy #cricketmeetsfootball,” Virat Kohli tweeted after meeting Sunil Chhetri.
