Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got an outstanding start in the clash of titans against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The host picked back to back to put Kolkata under pressure. Deepak Chahar grabbed an outstanding catch to dismiss Sunil Narine- who has been in excellent form with the bat this season.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first as it becomes tough in the second half to grip the ball due to the presence of dew. Both the sides didn’t tinker with their winning combination as Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine came out to bat for the visiting team. The duo played a blinder in the last game; however, this time Deepak Chahar trapped Lynn in the first over. Struggling at six for one, Chahar plucked on to a stunner to dismiss Sunil Narine in the next over off Harbhajan Singh.

The veteran off-spinner who has been bowling with the new ball showed his game reading abilities which led to the dismissal of Narine. Harbhajan gave air to the ball and varied his pace while keeping it outside the off-stump. The southpaw used his feet early and made room but Harbhajan cleverly dragged the length back with no pace whatsoever. The result is a miscue that bobbles over the backward point region and Deepak Chahar trekked back to take a good tumbling catch. Harbhajan is just too good on such surfaces and you can’t just slog him away, which is what Narine does to spinners anyway.
