IPL 2019: Watch Jos Buttler’s Sensational Catch To Dismiss Dangerous KL Rahul
It seems like the troubles of KL Rahul has stretched in Indian Premier League 2019. The flamboyant batsman failed to make a mark of his own in the first game of the tournament against Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Meanwhile, Dhawal Kulkarni was ecstatic while Jos Buttler stunned one and all.
It was in the first over of the game. KL Rahul already caressed a boundary in the over and looked rock solid. However, his double mind saw his dismissal. He was all set to hit a backfoot punch but tried to withdraw from his shot.
However, he ended up edging it to Jos Buttler, who pouched the catch safely. All in all, his poor run is continued in the tournament only to give him sleepless nights.
Coming into the match, initially, it was Ajinkya Rahane, who won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. Despite the boundary, they lost their star batsman KL Rahul in a quick time. However, Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal looked solid in the middle.
There are quite a few surprises in the playing XI for both the teams. Kings XI Punjab left out their young boy Varun and also the Australian Andrew Tye, who was the wrecker-in-chief in the previous season. Another major surprise from the camp is the absence of Karun Nair, who chose Sarfraz Khan.
Coming to Rajasthan Royals, they chose a perfect squad with the best players in their ranks. They left out Stuart Binny and Varun Aaron in the Indian domestic players alongside Oshane Thomas.
All in all, KL Rahul missed out a perfect chance to prove his credential. Every performance of him will make an impact on his chances for ICC World Cup 2019.
