IPL 2019: Watch Kieron Pollard’s Stunning Dive Catch To Dismiss Shreyas Iyer
Can you witness an Indian Premier League tournament without the heroics of Kieron Pollard in it? The big man has done it once again. As ever, he pulled out an amazing catch to dismiss the skipper of Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer, who was in superb touch with his willow.
The incident took place in the 4th over of the game when Mitchell McClenaghan came to bowl his 2nd over. In the 3rd ball of the over, Shreyas Iyer smashed the Kiwis fast bowler over the extra-cover to bag six runs in his kitty. The shot looked so classy, which made everyone go awe at him.
However, what followed the delivery wasn’t that great to witness for Delhi Capitals. Shreyas Iyer, once again, tried to go over the cover region to fetch few runs for the team. He did everything right but then came the brilliance of Kieron Pollard, which stunned Iyer.
Pollard leapt to his right to complete a brilliant catch. He kept his brilliant fielding skills on the display to send Shreyas Iyer back to the hut.
In between, Mitchell McClenaghan bagged his second wicket of the match so does Mumbai Indians, as none of the other bowlers bagged any wicket till then.
Earlier in the match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. Prithvi Shaw smashed a beautiful boundary before edging to Quinton de Kock off Mitchell McClenaghan.
All in all, it has been a brilliant catch for Kieron Pollard. The effort from Pollard does have all the required elements to bag the catch of the match award after the conclusion of the game.
