Yet another controversial aspect struck the International cricket just ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019. The lanky all-rounder Liam Plunkett was found tampering the ball during the game against Pakistan in the ongoing ODI series. However, the video is yet to reach the national Cricket Council.
The incident took place in the second ODI of the series when England was defending the tally on the board. A video of Liam Plunkett tampering the ball is doing rounds in the social media, which would certainly be on the cricketing news for quite a period of time.
England won the game by 12 runs:
It might land Liam Plunkett in a soup of bowl, as the ball-tampering has become a huge aspect in the recent past. If the results get against the lanky fast bowlers in the investigation, it would certainly affect his place in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.
However, the International Cricket Council is yet to speak on the issue. In the video that is being revolved in the social media saw Liam Plunkett scratching the ball with his nails.
During the Pakistan chase, Plunkett was caught damaging the ball. He was trying to change the condition of the ball which is not allowed. What scratching also ensures is that England bowlers get the ball to swing. Plunkett scratching the ball to change the condition may have helped Chris Woakes and David Willey, who was bowling at the death.

However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Liam Plunkett. The video looks that Liam has made it with all the consciousness. Now, ICC and England board would ask an explanation from the fast bowler.
Coming to the match, it was a cracker of the contest during the second ODI of the series. The stunning century from Jos Buttler saw England reaching a mammoth 373 on the board. In reply to the chase, Pakistan did brilliantly enough to come close but they were 12 runs short to the tally.
