Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni who is known as ‘Captain Cool’ was not in his old calm avatar after Deepak Chahar conceded two back to back no balls in the 19th over of CSK’s bowling. The ball went out of Deepak Chahar’s hand and went for a full toss which was over the waist height of Sarfaraz Khan. The youngster struck a four over the third man fence. Another no ball followed in the very next delivery as Sarfaraz stole a double.
MS Dhoni was literally fuming after the back to back deliveries and walked up to the medium pacer to have a chat with him. Chahar looked nervous and tried to explain himself that the ball was slipping out of his hands due to dew. However, Deepak Chahar made a comeback in the next few deliveries. He bowled 5 deliveries for 5 singles. Chahar eventually dismissed David Miller in the final delivery. It was a great comeback by the medium pacer to make the calculation difficult for Punjab in the final over.

It was debutant Scott Kuggelejin who defended 26 runs quite convincingly in the final over and managed to win the clash by 26 runs in the end. With the victory, Chennai Super Kings have now won 3 out of the 5 matches they have played so far.
Chennai Super Kings was bolstered by the return of opening batsman Faf du Plessis who played a great knock at the top of the order. Skipper MS Dhoni who had a couple of off days remained unbeaten on 37 of just 23 deliveries which eventually propelled CSK to a competitive score in the end. Kings XI Punjab needed to bat well to chase the target down. The CSK bowlers kept chipping away with the wickets and eventually completed their 4th victory of the tournament by 22 runs.
