IPL 2019: Watch: Ravindra Jadeja’s Diving Stunner To Send Back Ajinkya Rahane
After MS Dhoni’s blistering knock gave the Chennai Super Kings a good finish after a wobbly start, the defending champions needed a strong start with the ball to defend 175 against a side which had scored 198 in their previous game. Well, Deepak Chahar gave the Super Kings the breakthrough in the very first over by dismissing Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane for a two-ball duck.
The credit for the wicket, however, should go to Ravindra Jadeja who pulled off a stunner at the backward point. Rahane drove hard an outswinging delivery from Chahar. And the Rajasthan Royals opener paid the price for not keeping his shot grounded as Jadeja swooped forward and took a diving catch just inches above the ground.
Here is a clip of that stunner from Ravindra Jadeja to dismiss Ajinkya Rahane:

Earlier in the innings, Super Kings recovered from a shaky start to post a competitive total of 175 for 5. MS Dhoni led the show by slamming 75 off just 46 balls including hitting Jaydev Unadkat for four maximums in the final over. Royals will have to come up with a good effort to beat the Super Kings in Chennai. The stats are firmly against the Royals.
They have not won in Chennai since the inaugural season of the competition. Also, Chennai have failed to defend more than 170 at their home venue just once.
