The right-arm pacer from Australia was one of the top picks in IPL 2018 auction and KXIP successfully bought him for Rs 7.2 Crores. He did not disappoint and ended the tournament with 24 wickets, which included three 4-fers as well.
Though his form dipped in IPL 2019 and Tye just bagged three wickets in six matches. He is currently nursing an elbow injury and will be out of action for next three to four months, which could mean that IPL could be his comeback tournament. There can also be a case when Tye might go unsold in the auction, keeping in mind the fact that he will not play any form of cricket for the next few months.
