There is a huge relief for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as they receive the boost of Ambati Rayutu and Dwayne Bravo who are fit to play now. CSK had a good start to the IPL 2020 with a win against reigning champions Mumbai Indians.
Rayudu played the first match and scored an important knock of 71 runs, which helped them chase the target of 163 set up by MI with ease. The next two matches against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals were both lost by Chennai by failing to chase the target.
Rayudu had a hamstring strain issue while Bravo had a thigh injury forcing their absence from the team. Chennai Super Kings are already without veterans, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh. With Rayudu and Bravo deemed fit, Chennai-based franchise could get their winning flow back into the tournament.

CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan has confirmed Rayudu and Bravo are now fit to play for CSK. Rayudu had suffered from a hamstring strain after the first match, while Bravo had a thigh injury. Vishwanathan also stated CSK have bounced back from hard times in the past and will do so again.
“Rayudu has recovered well from a hamstring strain and will play in the next game. He ran and sprinted during training and batted without any discomfort at the nets,” CSK CEO K.S. Viswanathan told Sportstar on Monday.
“He bowled well at the nets, we have bounced back from adversity in the past. We will do so again,” he said.
I can assure the fans that we will bounce back strongly: Kasi Vishwanathan
CSK CEO had earlier said that they are not looking at Raina’s possible return because they respect his decision of withdrawing from the tournament. He had also assured the CSK fans that they will make a strong comeback.
“We cannot look at Raina because he made himself unavailable, and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it,” Viswanathan told ANI.
“I can assure the fans that we will bounce back strongly. It’s a game and you have your good and bad days. But the boys know what they need to do and the smiles will be back.”
Chennai Super Kings will next face SunRisers Hyderabad on October 2 at the Dubai International stadium.
