Ben Stokes reached UAE from New Zealand last night to join the Rajasthan Royals squad in the IPL and is in the mandatory six-day quarantine. It comes as a huge boost for RR with their middle-order woes, which would finally be not an issue with Stokes’ addition to the team. Ben Stokes was back home in New Zealand to see his ailing father who is battling brain cancer. Stokes left the England Test series against Pakistan midway, as he headed back home.
The star all-rounder has played 34 IPL matches so far and scored 635 runs at an average of 22.67. He also has 26 wickets to his name in the IPL.

Rajasthan Royals lose their second consecutive match of IPL 2020
The RR upper order crashed quickly against RCB at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The Rajasthan side had won the toss and chose to bat, but Yuzvendra Chahal and Isuru Udana’s impressive bowling dismissed the star studded batsmen of RR. They were halted for a low score of 154 which RCB achieved with ease and won the match by 8 wickets and 5 balls remaining.
RCB skipper Virat Kohli played a match-winning knock of 72 runs, partnered by 20-year-old Devdutt Padikkal who made 63 runs off 45 balls. Mahipal Lomror was the highest run-getter for RR scoring 47 runs.
Rajasthan Royals will next face Mumbai Indians on October 6 at the same stadium of Abu Dhabi. They sit at the 6th spot on the IPL table with 2 wins and 2 losses to their name.
