He had missed the first game and is also likely to miss the next one against RR which is to be played on 22nd September.

CSK confirm Ruturaj Gaikwad set to resume training
On Monday, the CSK took to twitter to confirm that Gaikwad had resumed training. It is yet unclear if this makes him eligible for selection for Super Kings’ second game against Rajasthan Royals in Sharjah on Tuesday.
“The first thing you wanna see on a Monday morning. Look who’s back! “CSK tweeted.
After being tested negative twice, Ruturaj Gaikwad will have to clear the fitness tests, and then he can join the regular training with the CSK squad. Gaikwad is being tipped to be the replacement for Suresh Raina who had withdrawn from the tournament earlier citing personal reasons.
Deepak Chahar who had also tested positive for COVID-19 had returned in time and played against MI bagging two wickets.
