Shane Warne is, yet another Australian cricketer who had been passionate for cricket. He retired from international cricket in 2007 before joining the twenty-overs franchise-based tournament of India.

Warne featured in the premier league for the first five seasons of IPL where he led the Rajasthan Royals (RR) to the first-ever IPL title win in 2008. He plucked a total of 57 wickets from 54 matches of the five editions.

During his last match for the Royals, Warne was of 41 years and 249 days old, surpassing Gilchrist as the oldest cricketer of the league tournament before bowing out of the game.
