Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed the young opener Prithvi Shaw (2) on the fifth ball of the innings. Another opener Shikhar Dhawan and captain Shreyas Iyer were struggling to handle the SRH bowlers. Though they put the 40 runs partnership for the second wicket, they weren’t convincing in that chasing. The Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan took both those wickets as Iyer returned after scoring 17 off 21 balls and Dhawan lost his wicket on 34 runs off 31 balls.
While Delhi Capitals were struggling on 62/3, Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer battled hard to bring out the team from a difficult situation. With the help of some big shots, they quickly built up a 42-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, on the first ball of the 16th over, Bhuvneshwar dismissed Hetmyer for 21 runs off 12 balls (2 sixes).
In the next over, Rashid Khan took another crucial wicket as Pant was dismissed after scoring 28 runs off 27 balls. At the end of that over, Rashid finished his bowling in that game with the incredible figures of 4-0-14-3.
After scoring 11 runs off 9 balls, Marcus Stoinis was dismissed by T Natarajan on the final ball of the 18th over as Delhi Capitals were struggling on 126/6.
In the 19th over, Bhuvneshwat Kumar conceded only nine runs as Delhi Capitals needed 27 more runs in the final over to win the game.
Khaleel Ahmed delivered the final over, where he took a wicket and conceded 12 runs, including a sixer on the final ball.

Delighted for Natarajan. Excellent execution of yorkers at the end. Rashid was sensational as well. Great now that all the teams are off the mark.

First time we have seen the @SunRisers get back to their DNA…. bowlers plus the opening batsmen getting the job done …
Can't see them being able to do this consistently but its damn good to see if you're a fan #selectdugout— Scott Styris (@scottbstyris) September 29, 2020
Pitch slightly on the slower side….#SRH very nicely placed at the 11-over mark. Play the second half of the innings well and we are in for an excellent game tonight. 170+ Game On. #SRHvDC

First points for #SRH and a good win for them!
After a few heart-stopping games, this was a good heart warming game after seeing class knocks by @davidwarner31 @jbairstow21 & especially Williamson!#DCvsSRH— Vinod Kambli (@vinodkambli349) September 29, 2020
The most impressive thing about SRH bowling today was use of Yorkers in death overs. They are alway bowling heavy side and today Bhuvi and #RashidKhan proved why reputation matters. #SRHvDC #IPL2020

Very good running between the wickets by @davidwarner31 & @jbairstow21
Youngsters should learn how they're putting pressure on fielders just taking quick runs!#SRHvsDC

A day to remember for Rashid Khan – he was having tough time but gets Dhawan, Iyer, Pant and went for just 14 runs from 4 overs. Never doubt King Khan.
