IPL 2020, Match 11: Delhi Capitals (DC) vs SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) – Toss Report 1

In the 11th match of the IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals (DC) are facing SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai). Both teams are playing their third match in this IPL season.

Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals have got the perfect start with two victories while David Warner-led SunRisers Hyderabad are the only side in this IPL season who haven’t won a match yet as they lost both the first two matches of this season.

Delhi Capitals started this IPL season with the match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Dubai. It was the second match of the IPL 2020 where Delhi Capitals won the match in the Super Over. In their next match, they beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 44 runs at Dubai.

On the other hand, SunRisers Hyderabad lost their opening match of this season against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 10 runs (at Dubai). They faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Abu Dhabi in their next game of this season where KKR beat them by seven wickets (with 12 balls to spare).

While DC and SRH faced each other for thrice in the IPL 2019, SRH won the first battle but DC won the next two contests.

Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to field first. They made only change in the playing XI as Ishant Sharma replaced Avesh Khan.

Iyer said after winning the toss, “We will bowl first, the dew might play a role in the second innings. Our preparations and training has been on point, the frame of mind is good. One change for us – Ishant comes in for Avesh Khan. Each one know their roles in the team well, they have stood up for the cause.”

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) made two changes in their playing XI. Kane Williamson and Abdul Samad have replaced Mohammad Nabi and Wriddhiman Saha.

Warner said after losing the toss, “Not too disappointed with that, we fell short by 20-30 runs, we now have the bowling to defend scores. Two changes for us – KW comes in for Nabi, Samad for Saha. We have our plans for the bowling group, just need to stick to it.”
