IPL 2020, Match 19: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals (RCB vs DC) – Highlights
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) innings
RCB didn’t get a good start and they were moving out from the game with the time progress. In the mandatory powerplay, they lost three wickets (43/3) – as the openers Devdutt Padikkal (4) and Aaron Finch (13) and also the big-name AB de Villiers (9) failed to protect their wickets inside the first six overs. During the third wicket partnership with AB de Villiers, Kohli became the first Indian to score 9000 T2o runs.
Then captain Virat Kohli and Moeen Ali had the partnership of 32 runs for the fourth wicket. But Ali lost his wicket after scoring only 11 runs. Skipper Kohli fought hard and scored 43 runs off 39 balls before he was caught behind during 14th over when Kagiso Rabada was bowling his second over.
In his next over, Rabada took another wicket after dismissing Washington Sundar for 17 runs. In his next over, which was also Rabada’s last over in this match, the South African pacer took two more wickets of Shivam Dube (11) and Isuru Udana (1) and became the first bowler in this IPL season to claim a four-wicket haul. He finished this match with the bowling figures of 4-0-24-4.
Anrich Nortje also bowled Mohammed Siraj for 5 runs.

Delhi Capitals (DC) innings
Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw provided a good firing start where Shaw particularly dominated the RCB bowlers. In the mandatory powerplay, Delhi Capitals scored 63/0. After scoring 42 runs off 23 balls (5 fours and 2 sixes), Shaw was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj in the seventh over.
Dhawan lost his wicket during Isuru Udana’s over after scoring 32 runs off 28 balls while captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed by Moeen Ali for 11 runs.
Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis handled that pressure situation very well and built up a solid partnership that guided their team to the good first innings total. They had the 89 runs partnership for the fourth wicket before Pant was bowled by Mohammed Siraj in the 19th over. The left-handed batsman Pant scored 37 runs off 25 balls (3 fours and 2 sixes).
Soon after Pant’s dismissal, Stoinis completed his half-century in just 24 balls in that same 19th over. He remained not out on 53 runs off 26 balls (6 fours and 2 sixes). Meanwhile, Shimron Hetmyer finished that innings on 11 not out off just 7 balls (only six).
Mohammed Siraj was the only RCB bowler to pick up more than one wicket in that innings as he finished with the bowling figures of 4-0-34-2.

Crucial knock by Stoinis to propel @DelhiCapitals to a good total but the wicket looks good to bat on.
Given the batting strength of @RCBTweets, it won’t be easy for Delhi to defend.#RCBvDC #IPL2020— Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) October 5, 2020
Bowls the Super Over for 2 runs and dismisses two batsmen. Came for an over and dismissed Russell at ‘Sharjah’. Here at Dubai…takes Kohli’s wicket in the first over of his new spell. Rabada is the best fast bowler in #IPL2020. #DelhiCapitals
