CSK skipper MS Dhoni just has to hit another four sixes in the IPL to become the batsman with the second-most number of sixes in the IPL. The record of the most number of sixes in the IPL is with KXIP’s batsman Chris Gayle with 326 sixes, followed by RCB’s AB de Villiers who has 212 sixes to his credit.

MSD stands at 209 sixes currently and will look to go past AB de Villiers this season with some helicopter shots. Dhoni recently announced his retirement from international cricket leaving the whole cricketing world shocked.

The veteran cricketer was last seen on the field last year in the ODI World Cup where Team India was knocked out by New Zealand. Dhoni will be seen back in action for the CSK in the IPL 2020.

MS Dhoni looking to go past AB de Villiers in most sixes list

RCB’s de Villiers currently holds the second spot in the list of a batsman with most sixes in the IPL. However, CSK skipper Dhoni is right behind him with 3 less to his name and will look to cross the South African in this season of the IPL.

With Suresh Raina out of the CSK squad this term there are rumours that Dhoni might start ahead oh his usual number 5 position. It also means MS Dhoni will get more balls to play and can quickly get back to his form after a 14-month gap.
