Nicholas Pooran has been one of the biggest positives for King XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Even the legendary Sachin Tendulkar has also praised his masterstroke and has stated that the Windies reminds him of JP Duminy.

Nicholas Pooran scored the second half-century of this season in the last match against Delhi Capitals. His gusty innings of 53 runs off 28 balls sealed the third victory of this tournament for Kings XI Punjab.

Taking to Twitter, the Master Blaster heaped praise on Pooran’s clean striking abilities. He also added that the southpaw’s stance and backlift reminds him of South African cricketer JP Duminy.

“Some power-packed shots played by @nicholas_47. What a clean striker of the ball he has been. His stance and backlift reminds me of @jpduminy21,” Tendulkar tweeted.

After KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran is the leading scorer for Kings XI Punjab. In 10 matches, he has amassed 295 runs at an average of 36.87 and a healthy strike rate of 183. 22.

Against RCB, he avoided the game to super over by striking six in the last ball of the last over. Also, against SRH, the aggressive batsman had tried his best to take the game home but unfortunately, the other end kept losing wickets.
