Another of the Karnataka allrounder has the ability to pick quick wickets in the shorter version of cricket. The street-cricket prodigy who idolises Harbhajan Singh could be the next big thing for the Kings XI Punjab in the upcoming IPL 2020.
In his debut season in IPL 2017, Gowtham was bought by the Rohit Sharma-led team but he remained on the sidelines throughout the season.
Blessed with both the numbers and the wickets in cricket, Krishnappa Gowtham was bought by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2018. In the 15 games he played for the Royals, the right-hander has scalped 11 wickets while scoring 126 runs.
However, with Ravichandran Ashwin out of the team, the off-spinner could prove to be the next big gig for KXIP and possibly end up being the leading wicket-taker in the league. His splendid form in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) saw him picking an 8-wicket hall and smashed 56-ball 134 in the same match of the league just added an extra topping to his records.
