Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is just 73 runs away from completing 2000 runs in IPL. Jadeja has been an indispensable part of the CSK team ever since he joined them from Rajasthan Royals. He has 108 scalps to his name in the IPL which puts him at the 10th spot for most wickets.

The Chennai-based side is in training after facing an extended quarantine when 13 members of the squad, including two players, tested positive for COVID 19. The two players that tested positive were Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The IPL 2020 will be played between September 19 and November 10. The matches will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.

Ravindra Jadeja on the cusp of an IPL record

Jadeja is just 73 runs away from completing 2000 runs in IPL. If he can do that, then he will become the only all-rounder to complete the double of 2000 runs and 100 wickets in IPL.

Ravindra Jadeja has a bizarre record to his name he has scored more than 1500 runs in the tournament without ever getting past the 50-run mark.  The reason being he comes down the order to bat and hardly gets enough balls to play.

The all-rounder will most probably get his name to the record this season unless the CSK upper order doesn’t give him any chance to bat.

CSK will face MI  in the opener on 19th, the last time these two sides met was the final of IPL 2019 and Mumbai won by a single run.
