Sakshi Dhoni had always been spotted in the stadium supporting his husband MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. But in the ongoing IPL 2020, She could not attend the matches because of the outbreak of coronavirus and new norms introduced in the league. As it has been over 12 days since the start of the league, Sakshi has revealed that she is missing MS Dhoni.

Although IPL 2020 started from September 19, Chennai Super Kings along with other franchises have traveled two to three weeks ahead of the inauguration match. The franchises had followed a six-day quarantine following which they had started the training campaign. To curb the spread of the coronavirus, the players will be living in the bio-secure bubble until the completion of the league.

Sakshi Dhoni said that although she is enjoying watching the league live on TV, she is missing MS Dhoni next to him. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and some other players have traveled with their family. But Sakshi said that they decided to stay in India because it would have been difficult to live in the bubble for over two months.

“I am not really missing it (attending IPL in a stadium) as I am following it diligently on TV, but I miss my husband. Honestly, it would’ve been difficult for Ziva and me to be in the bubble for over two months,” Sakshi added.

Meanwhile, the MS Dhoni-led side didn’t have an expected start of the tournament. They won the season opener match against Mumbai Indians but lost the next two matches consecutively. The absence of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh, who have backed out of the tournament, is hurting the team.

CSK is set to play their fourth match of IPL 2020 against Kings XI Punjab on Friday.
