Alex Hales:
The attacking opening batsman for England, Alex Hales entered the bidding arena of the 13th season of the cash-rich league with a base price of INR 1 Crore. Even though Hales is always ready to score big runs for the team, he remained unsold at the auctions of the famous franchise-based Indian league.
However, the English run-scorer remained unfazed by the fact and has been the top-most run-getter for Sydney Thunders in BBL. In 13 matches Hales has collected 402 runs which are studded with four half-centuries at a strike rate of 141.05.
Hales’ best of the BBL came in the third last game against the Perth Scorchers where he scored a mind-blogging 59-ball 85. He pulled off three sixes and 10 fours at a strike rate of 144.06. With five victorious games and seven lost matches, Perth Scorchers is placed at sixth position, while Hales remain their lead run-scorer throughout.
