Tom Curran has established himself as one of the valuable assets for England. The English bowling all-rounder had a pretty good series against hosts South Africa. Of late, he snared five wickets in the three-match T20I series. Curran hit the peak performance on the field when he single-handedly helped his team to win the second match by two runs.
With T20 World Cup tournament scheduled to be held this year’s October, the 24-year-old all-rounder is in good space at the moment.
Sam, who plied his trade for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2018, was roped in by Rajasthan Royals (RR) at his base price of INR 1 crore in the 2020 IPL auction held in Kolkata on December 19.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are world-class players: Tom Curran
Curran stressed on the fact that he is targetting the big wickets of India opener Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). He said that Rohit Sharma and Kohli are world-class players while also adding that he is looking forward to executing his tactical plans against them in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
“I think they are world-class players and it is about as a bowler looking to executing my plans and looking at my skills than theirs. It will be a great challenge and one that I looking forward to,” he added.

The Royals’ player also felt that every match he plays from now on will have a tremendous impact for him in the build-up the World T20 later this year in Australia. He also said he does not want to think too much about the showpiece event as it is still a long way to go but has promised to improve himself with every game.
“Every game of cricket I play I feel will have an influence – however big or small – on my selection for the World T20 in Australia, but I am not really looking to think so far ahead and want to take one game at a time. Just trying to get better every time I go out to the middle,” said Curran.
Since 2018, Curran has featured in five matches. He has a total of six wickets to his name.
