Devdutt Padilkal (RCB):

The 19-year-old Karnataka lad has recently shown a glimpse of his talent in the recently-concluded T20 domestic tournament of India. He has been the leading run-scorer in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, amassing a total of 580 runs in 12 games. In these 12 matches, he struck 33 sixes which has been the most number of sixes in the league.
Owing to his form in the domestic games, the Royal Challengers Bangalore has availed the services of a player for the IPL 2020. The Virat Kohli-led franchise has bought the uncapped Indian in the IPL 2019 for the base price of INR 20 lakhs.
With him being the top-order player, Southpaw will play a significant role for RCB in the upcoming edition of the premier league. Apart from Virat Kohli, the franchise has struggled altogether. And given his runs-record, Padikkal fits just right in. He might even end up donning the coveted Orange Cap in the coming league.
