After playing a few stunning knocks in the Ranji Trophy in 2017-18, the Mumbai franchise of IPL bought Ishan Kishan ahead of the 11th season of the league. The explosive batsman had been the leading run-scorer for Jharkhand in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, with 484 runs in six matches.

In the IPL 2018, he had played 14 matches and scored a total of 275 runs at an average of 22.91.

Meanwhile, the Patna youngster has played 67 T20 matches. He has aggregated a total of 1577 runs that includes 113 unbeaten against Manipur in the  2018–19 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Ahead of this season, Ishan Kishan was taken in for a giant INR 5.5 crore. The aggressive batter will put his efforts to aggregate more consistent runs for the team and put a formidable total by the end of the game.
