Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has made an interesting prediction for CSK star Ambati Rayudu who he says can soon be seen playing for India again. In the opening match of CSK against MI, Rayudu scored an important knock of 71 runs, which helped them chase the target of 163 set up by MI with ease.
The CSK veteran batsman has a prove to point in this IPL after he was the strongest in contention to make it to the World Cup squad in 2019 and was still not called up.
Ambati Rayudu condemned his rejection from BCCI and had announced his retirement from International Cricket, but he revoked it after a few months.
Brad Hogg says Ambati Rayudu can make a place for him at the Number 4 spot
Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg feels Rayudu has a great chance to make it back to Team India again at the number four spot. He also feels the 35-year-old right-handed batsman is in top form and will have a great IPL.
“CSK have got plenty of depth. Ambati Rayudu stood up and I think he can do a job again at No.4. I won’t be surprised if he is playing for India sooner rather than later,” Brad Hogg said in the latest video uploaded on his YouTube channel.
“I think he is going to have another big series. He looks on top, watch him to make another 50 and he will make another 50 and become the Man of the Match,” Brad Hogg added.
CSK lose to RR in their second match in Ambati Rayudu’s absence
CSK felt the absence of Ambati Rayudu in their second fixture in the IPL after they lost to RR by 16 runs in a thrilling game of cricket.
Rajasthan batted first setting up a huge target of 217 runs after a thunderous knock by Samson of 74 runs off 32 balls including nine sixes and one four gave Rajasthan a superb start to the game where they made 216 runs. RR skipper Steve Smith also played an important inning of 69 runs.
CSK had won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Sharjah International Stadium. Faf du Plessis was the only big scorer for the Chennai based side, making 72 runs off 37 balls. However, they could only make 200 and fell short of 16 runs. The Chennai based side have played two matches in the IPL 2020 now, winning and losing one each.
Chennai Super Kings will play their next game against Delhi Capitals on September 25 in the Dubai International Stadium.
