Stephen Fleming Jokes in the post-match conference after CSK’s win
Fleming was overjoyed with the win against KXIP and had a lighthearted conversation in the post-match conference.
‘Youngsters in our side? It’s an oxymoron,’ Stephen Fleming joked when he was asked about his assessment of the youngsters in CSK side.
With the openers finishing the job, Sunil Gavaskar pointed out to Fleming, that he might not have to answer questions about the batting order of CSK particularly MS Dhoni, to which Stephen Fleming had an amusing reply.
“It will still come up maybe he (MS Dhoni) should have batted at 1. I am prepared for it every time I have a press conference but it will a nice situation to have it yes,” he answered to Gavaskar.

Stephen Fleming talks CSK vs KXIP
CSK head coach stated that they had some moments in the game where they lacked penetration but the pitch was too hard to get anything on. He told the key moment in the game for him was the death overs where they conceded 40 runs which he feels could’ve been way more.
“We had moments with the ball, we lacked a bit of penetration, but in hindsight, we were none down and it was hard to get anything going on this wicket. But we kept our structure really well, our fielding was steady at best, I was just animated around the little things we need to do.
“We still have some work to do there, the key moment for me was overs 17-20, we conceded around 40 runs, it could have been more than that. Other games have been going for a bigger number, but we were able to keep them to 40 so that was pleasing,” Fleming said during the post-match press conference.

CSK now stand at the sixth spot on the IPL points table with two wins in five matches. They will next play KKR on October 7 at the Dubai International Stadium.
