Trent Boult: Rohit Sharma Is Very Approachable Abd Backs All Players To Execute Their Skills
New Zealand pacer Trent Boult, who has been a part of the Mumbai Indians setup since the 2020 season, was full of praise for Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and said the Mumbai batsman backs his players to execute their skills.

“ery positive guy, I really enjoy the opportunity to play under his captaincy,” Trent Boult said in response to a question from timesnownews.com during a virtual press conference.

Trent Boult, who was traded to Mumbai Indians from Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2020, proved to be a wonderful addition to the side as he ended up as the third-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2020 with 25 wickets and also MI’s highest wicket-taker in the tournament after Jasprit Bumrah (27). Trent Boult: Middle Order Would Be Desperate To Put In A Good Performance
Mumbai’s middle-order has failed to fire this season and it would concern the team management going into the match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 23. Trent Boult added that the middle-order would be desperate to put more runs on board in MI’s last game in Chennai.
“I am sure the middle-order would not be too pleased with how things have gone so far. I know those guys are hungry and desperate to put in a good performance in our last game in Chennai tomorrow. Not the ideal start, we would have wanted to have few more runs on the board,” Boult said.

MI had a mixed campaign so far where they have won two matches and lost as many in the 14th edition.
After getting off to a losing start against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL opener, Mumbai got back to winning ways with two successive wins against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) before losing to Delhi Capitals (DC) – whom they had defeated in IPL 2020 final to lift a record fifth IPL title.
Rohit Sharma is MI’s highest run-scorer in IPL 2021 by amassing 138 runs in 4 games while Suryakumar Yadav has aggregated 121 runs. Ishan Kishan has managed only 67 runs in 4 games while both Chris Lynn and Kieron Pollard have managed 49 runs playing 1 IPL game and 4 IPL games respectively.
Quinton de Kock managed only 44 runs in 3 matches. Hardik Pandya managed to score 35 runs while Krunal Pandya has scored 26 runs.
Among bowlers, Rahul Chahar has 8 scalps while Trent Boult has 6 scalps and Jasprit Bumrah has 4 scalps behind his name. The team will be looking to give more opportunities to the likes of Adam Milne, Anukul Roy, Arjun Tendulkar, Dhawal Kulkarni, James Neesham, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and Piyush Chawla in the forthcoming games.
