Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has weighed in with his views on Rohit Sharma as the under-pressure batsman continues to hog the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Chopra has leapt in his defence as the former India cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth called him a “No Hit Sharma” following his three-ball duck against Chennai Super Kings.
The former Tamil Nadu opener has been very vocal in his criticism of Indian veteran Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik who has been awfully out of form for quite some time now in the Indian Premier League and has not shied away from stating that the under-performing batsman does not deserve a place in the team.
Former Indian Cricketer lambasted the act of a few Ex-cricketers taking the role of social media ‘trollers’ and stating it lowest ebb.
“When former cricketers assume the role of ‘trollers’, you know that it’s hit the lowest ebb. Nadir,” Chopra tweeted.

Former Indian World Cup winner Krishnamachari Srikkanth took a dig at Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma for his poor form in the edition of the Indian Premier League. Rohit Sharma tried to play a scoop shot and got caught on short third man by Ravindra Jadeja continuing his poor run in the league.
Krishnamachari Srikkanth, who is currently part of Star Sports covering the Indian Premier League, criticized Rohit Sharma as “No Hit Sharma” and said that he won’t even play the Indian skipper in the Mumbai Indians playing 11.
“Not Hit Sharma”. Rohit Sharma should change his name to ‘NO HIT SHARMA’, I will not even play him in XI if I was Captain of MI,” Krishnamachari Srikkanth said.
Rohit Sharma had a poor outing for the five-time champions so far with the bat as he scored only 184 runs from ten games with a poor average of 18.4 and a strike rate of 126.89.
Rohit Sharma Played An Odd Shot And Got Out For Zero – Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra believes that Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma would not be proud of his unwanted record of being dismissed for the 16th time without scoring a single run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and reckons that these kinds of poor records don’t suit a player of his calibre.
“Rohit’s dismissal was very interesting. The keeper came up and Rohit played an odd shot and got out for zero. One fact that he would not like at all because he now has the most ducks in this tournament’s history. 16 ducks for a player of his calibre – doesn’t suit him at all,” Aakash Chopra said.
Mumbai Indians are currently placed at number six in the points table, with five wins in the league stage, and will look to make a return to a winning run when their take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the next game.
