Indian speedster Mohammed Siraj recalled how he managed the online trollers during the last season of Indian Premier League 2022, where he had a poor season picking up only 9 wickets from 15 matches and being the weak link on the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s bowling lineup.
The Hyderabadi pacer made a stunning comeback post-IPL 2022, to be India’s primary bowler in ODI and Test Cricket providing the crucial breakthrough for Men in blue and thereby in the process he went on the became the World No.1 bowler in ODI Cricket.
Mohammed Siraj was retained by RCB ahead of the IPL auction 2022, Speaking on the RCB podcast, about how he handles the abuses on social media when he doesn’t perform well.
“It is easy to write abuses, But you don’t know anything about his struggle. How can you abuse someone, then? Those messages kill your motivation. A guy is getting abused for no reason at all. Why? What’s next?” Mohammed Siraj questioned.
Since 2018, Mohammed Siraj has been the constant pillar for RCB in their bowling lineup but often ends up leaking runs to the backend of the innings facing the wrath of the fans.
“One day they call you the future of India, the next day, they claim you are nothing and should drive an auto. I don’t understand this,” Siraj said.
Mohammed Siraj made a brilliant start to IPL 2023, where a bowled exceptionally well against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians on the opening encounter picking up the importance of Ishan Kishan and creating a chance for Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and he conceded only 21 runs in his 4 overs, which eventually helped his side clinch a 8-wickets win over Mumbai Indians inside 17 overs.

That doesn’t affect us much, but as a human, all I can ask from you is respect everyone,” Mohammed Siraj said.
