According to various reports, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni is likely to undergo a series of tests for his troubling knee injury. The 41-year-old became the most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League winning five IPL titles for Chennai in the 14 seasons.

The Indian legend has been the best captain in the world as he has shown the ability to win big games for his side. According to reports RevSportz legendary MS Dhoni is set to get admitted to the Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai this week for several tests about his knee injury to keep himself in the best possible shape for the next edition of the Indian Premier League.

The former Indian skipper, who is known for quick running between the wickets in the world of cricket could not convert ones into twos as he was nursing a knee injury since the start of the season which was seen visibly during his batting as he was limping in the field. Earlier Speaking to the media, Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming confirmed that MS Dhoni is nursing a knee injury.

MS Dhoni has been captaining the Chennai franchise since the inaugural edition (2008) and led the team to become the most successful franchise winning 5 IPL titles. The team has also won two Champions League T20 trophies under the legendary Indian Skipper.

Speaking to the broadcasters, after their thrilling win over the defending champions Gujarat Titans, CSK skipper MS Dhoni revealed that he would like to play for one more season or so in the Indian Premier League for the amount of love shown the fans across the country and admitted that he would be trying to work hard and keep himself fit at least for the next season.

“Looking for an answer? Circumstantially if you see this is the best time for me to announce retirement. But the amount of love and affection that I have been shown, wherever I have been this year…I think the easy thing for me to say would be to say ‘Thank you very much’, but the tough thing for me would be to work hard for nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body,” MS Dhoni said.

It is widely speculated that the former  Indian skipper might hang his boots after the completion of IPL 2023 but the Indian legend has given hope to the fans that he will return to play for the five-time champions in the next edition of the IPL.
