Chennai Super Kings star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja wants to win their game against Rajasthan Royals as a tribute to their skipper MS Dhoni, who will lead the four-time champions in his 200th match as captain of CSK. MS Dhoni has been a stalwart of the Chennai side as he lead them to play-offs for 11 seasons & won 4 titles under his leadership.
MS Dhoni will be the first captain to lead an IPL team for 200 games and Dhoni is also the most-capped player in the history of IPL. Chennai Super Kings will play their fourth match against Inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals in their fortress in Chepauk.
“What can I say? He is a legend of not only CSK, but he is also a legend of Indian cricket. I would like to wish him good luck, Hopefully, we will win the game tomorrow and give it as a gift to him on his 200th match as captain. Hope to continue the momentum of how we have played in the last two games.”
Chennai Super Kings has been always dominant in home conditions, as they have a very good home record compared to other IPL teams and added they will look to make use of their spinners to do the job for the team.
“Yeah, you can say that. When you come to Chennai you are always hoping that spinners will do the job for you. They have quality spinners, and we also have quality spinners. It will be a good battle,” Ravindra Jadeja said.
Chennai Super Kings will be boosted by the arrival of Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana. The Sri Lanka spinner was a bright spot for the Chennai Super Kings in 2022 as he played nine games for the Men in Yellow, scalping 12 wickets at an economy rate of 7.46. He could prove to be extremely valuable in the franchise’s home games at Chepauk.
