Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik praised his RCB teammate Virat Kohli for his consistency over the game for a long period. Karthik was seen speaking to the RCB podcast ahead of IPL 2023, Dinesh Karthik recalled many things including his stint with KKR, Nidahas Trophy heroics, Abhishek Nayar’s influence on his career, and Virat Kohli’s dominance in International cricket.
Karthik hailed Virat Kohli for whatever he achieved as a person and said that his consistency to perform very well at the highest level is not something many players achieved over a long period in International cricket and his dominance in world cricket is unmatched.
“What he has achieved as a person…he has carried the team for the last 10 years. His consistency and mastery over the game…I don’t think anybody has achieved it in the world of cricket for a very, very long time, his dominance for about close to a decade is unparalleled,” Karthik said.
Karthik continued that playing three formats is difficult for any player and averaging above 50 in three formats is something he can be proud and said that he can speak about Kohli a lot and he is always chill and help the youngsters to improve their game.
“We have to understand that there are three different formats, and playing three different formats itself is difficult and then there he is averaging 50 in all of them, traveling abroad scoring as well. I can speak about him a lot. He is very chill, very easy, with the bowlers, the young guys,” said Karthik on RCB Podcast.
