Rajasthan Royals Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal believes that their team is very much in the hunt for the playoffs in this edition of the Indian Premier League and wants to forget their heartbreaking loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad as soon as possible to concentrate on the upcoming games.
The Aiden Markram-led side overcame the Rajasthan Royals by four wickets in the last-ball thriller. In addition, SRH’s chase marked the highest on the Jaipur pitch in IPL history. With 17 required in six balls, it felt like Sandeep Sharma would take his side home but he overstepped in the final ball to hand SRH a second chance and Samad held his nerves and smashed a tremendous hit for a maximum to seal the deal for his side.
Speaking to the media, after their wrenching loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chahal believes that Rajasthan Royals can still make it to the playoffs by winning their remaining three games and said that these kinds of things happen in the T20 game and believes that it is important to make a strong comeback.
“It will take time, but still, three matches are there, and if we win our remaining three games, we are still in the hunt for play-offs,” Yuzvendra Chahal said.
“It is part of the game. We will storm back together. The sooner we will forget this match the better it will be for us,” he added.
Rajasthan Royals has lost five out of their last six games in the edition of the Indian Premier League, as they could not capitalize in the crunch moments of the game in the last few matches. The Sanju Samson-led side will look to make a comeback, when they take two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders on May 11 in iconic Eden Gardens Stadium.

The Indian spinner bowled brilliantly for the 2022 finalist in the middle and death overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad to pick up 4 wickets, but ended on the losing side, Speaking on his bowling, Chahal said that he wanted to bowl the focus on a good line and length, which worked for his side.
“I was just backing myself and my strength. I was focusing more on my length and don’t want to bowl it too full,” Yuzvendra Chahal added.
Yuzvendra Chahal has become the joint-highest wicket-taker in IPL history. Chahal equalled Dwayne Bravo’s record. Both Chahal and Bravo have 183 wickets each. The Indian Spinner has a tremendous IPL record, taking 183 wickets in 142 matches at an economy rate of 8.08 with an outstanding average of 19.41.
