Punjab Kings assistant coach Brad Haddin believes Prabhsimran Singh can be very a dangerous player if find some consistency in his aggressive game. Shikhar Dhawan-led suffered their second straight defeat in the league stage on Thursday against defending champions Gujarat Titans.
Speaking to the media, after their loss against Gujarat Titans, the former Australian wicket-keeper backs Prabhsimran Singh to do well as the youngster from Punjab is extremely talented and reckons that he has got shots all around the ground.
“Young guys are going to go through that. They’re learning the reasons why and what we saw against RR, he’s extremely talented. He’s got a lot of power and shots around the field and can be a match-winner. So, it’s just about him understanding his tempo and his role,” Brad Haddin said.
Brad Haddin asserted that Prabhsimran will play an aggressive style of batting in the power play and admitted that he will have good and bad performances in the tournament and added it matter of time before he finds consistency in his batting.
“We’re going to back him to play a style of cricket that we need in the first six overs, and it’s going to be a high-risk game. We’re going to see some good and bad performances. He’ll come through and we know the upside. If he can find some consistency, he’ll be a very dangerous player,” Haddin added.
Prabhsimran Singh started the tournament very well as the 22-year-old scored a brilliant half-century at Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium–and has looked in fantastic touch with the bat for Punjab Kings in the first two matches before failing in the last two matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.

Brad Haddin provided an update regarding the availability of their star England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, as they missed out on his services for the first four games due to an injury. Haddin said that Livingstone has joined them and they will look at how he progresses in the practice session, before taking a call on his participation in the next match.
“Liam Livingstone has just got off the flight. He’ll be with the team for a couple of days and we’ll see where he’s at. He’s just come back from a long-term injury so we’ve just got a chance to put eyes on him in the last 24 hours, and we’ll know a lot more coming into the next game,” Haddin added.
Punjab Kings will be hoping to have Liam Livingstone in the playing 11 as soon as possible.
