Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh heaped praise on England white-ball skipper Jos Buttler for his exceptional form in IPL 2023. The 2022 Orange Cap winner continued his fine form from last season as he scored three half-centuries from four matches for the Rajasthan Royals.

Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Butler scored a brilliant half-century against four-time champions which eventually helped Rajasthan Royals to breach the fortress of Chennai Super Kings.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Harbhajan Singh said that he was “short of words” to praise Jos Buttler as he perfectly times the bat–and has a good game plan against pace and spin and also lauded him as the World No.1 batter in world cricket.

“I fell short of words to praise Jos Buttler. He is a proper batter of the cricket ball, He uses the crease to perfection, possesses good technique, and he has good footwork against pace and spin. For me, he’s the No. 1 batter in world cricket at the moment,” Harbhajan Singh said.

Jos Buttler completed 3,000 runs in the IPL during the process, taking just 85 innings to achieve this milestone, the third-fastest in the league, and now has 3023 runs at an average of 40.85 and a strike rate of 151.22 in the cash-rich league.

Buttler had an impressive Indian Premier League (IPL) season last year where he dominated the opposition bowlers. The English opener skipper scored 863 runs in IPL 2022 in 17 matches and became only the third batter ever after Virat Kohli and David Warner to score over 800 IPL runs in one season.

After their third win against Chennai Super Kings, the Royals jumped to the top spot in the standings on a better net run rate, over the Lucknow Super Giants on six points each.

It’s Like He Is Playing Against His Team – Harbhajan Singh On David Warner’s Form

Former Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan Singh slammed Delhi Capitals skipper David Warner for his slow knocks as he nearly could not accelerate at any stage of the innings in IPL 2023. Harbhajan was baffled by Warner’s approach to batting.

“What’s the point of scoring such runs? He needs to score fast. It’s like he is playing against his team,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports.

David Warner is second on the Orange Cap scoring list with 209 runs from four games for Delhi Capitals, but with a poor strike rate (114.38)–the lowest among top batters in the league stage.

Delhi Capitals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their 5th league game on Saturday in Chinnaswamy Stadium and they will look to register their 1st win and open their account in the points table.
