Former Indian World Cup winner RP Singh believes that Royal Challengers Bangalore Mohammed Siraj has been reaping the rewards for his consistent hard work over a long period and also lauded him for his technical adjustments which made him more lethal in this edition of Indian Premier League 2023.
Mohammed Siraj has impressed everyone with his ability to make a difference irrespective of the conditions. He can swing and seam the new ball and when it gets old, he brings out the wobble-seam variation to get things done for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Speaking In Hindustan Times, Former Indian Cricketer RP Singh said that Siraj’s graph has grown high since his comeback to the Indian team and hailed him for working hard on fitness and technical aspects of the game to get the ball in the right line and length to get vital breakthroughs for his side.
“I have been following Siraj for a long time now. When he joined the Indian team, his graph was high, and then slowly it started falling. But it is good to see that he has worked on a lot of things this time, fitness is a major point. Now if you look at the technical bit, he has worked a lot on his wrist position and follow through for which he is getting the ball to bounce better and is also bowling stump-to-stump,” RP Singh told Hindustan Times.

Cricketer-turned-commentator RP Singh believes that Mohammed Siraj can be a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in all three formats and reckons him to be lethal like Mohammad Shami in the future.
“Of course, he can be a replacement for Bumrah. I feel, if his graph continues to increase he can be the next Mohammed Shami,” RP Singh added.
Siraj is expected to lead India pace’s attack alongside Shame in the WTC finals against Australia and can be a valuable asset for the Indian side in the 2023 ODI World Cup, especially in Indian conditions.
