Punjab Kings have signed Gurnoor Singh Brar as a replacement for injured Raj Angad Bawa ahead of their second game against Rajasthan Royals. The exciting youngster Raj Bawa, who made his debut for Punjab Kings in 2022, was ruled out of the tournament due to a left shoulder injury.
Raj Angad Bawa, who played two games for PBKS last season, has been ruled of the cash-rich league following his shoulder injury. Punjab Kings replaced the Under-19 World Cup star with Gurnoor Singh Brar from Punjab, who is yet to make his mark in T20 cricket.
Gurnoor Sing is a left-handed batting allrounder who made his first-class debut for Punjab in Ranji Trophy 2022. He has so far featured in five first-class matches and scored 107 runs at a strike rate of 120.22 and picked up seven wickets at an economy of 3.80.

Earlier, Punjab Kings suffered a big blow losing out to Jonny Bairstow due to an injury they also missed the services of their star batsman Liam Livingstone for their tournament opener and it remains unknown about his availability for the team.
Punjab Kings will be hoping that the batsman recovers soon and join them. Last year, he enjoyed his best outing in IPL as he scored 437 runs in 14 games at an average of 36.42 and a sensational strike rate of 182.08 and he was also handy with the ball as he picked up 6 wickets for the franchise
Punjab Kings made a solid start under their new skipper Shikhar Dhawan when they defeated two-champions Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening encounter of the league. They will look to continue their winning momentum against Rajasthan Royals in their second match.
Kagiso Rabada Will Replace On Nathan Ellis On Punjab King’s Playing 11 – Aakash Chopra
Punjab Kings was without their star pacer Kagiso Rabada for their opener against Kolkata Knight Riders. Rabada is expected to replace on Nathan Ellis in their second game against Rajasthan Royals in the famous Barsapara stadium in Guwahati on April 5.

Kagiso Rabada played a vital role for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 and will be hoping to replicate his form in the edition of IPL 2023. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra believes that their bowling is good with the likes of Arshdeep Singh and the arrival of Kagiso Rabada for their second match and also added Sam Curran can pick up important wickets for his team despite his contribution with the bat for the team.
Aakash Chopra further added that Punjab has a very good batting lineup as there might go with the same opening pair in the second match, with Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Sikandar Raza, and Jitesh Sharma forming the middle order, who performed very well in their role against the two-time champions.
