Earlier during the RCB preseason camp, Rajat Patidar suffered an injury that kept him out of action for the entire IPL 2023, as RCB posted that Patidar was ruled out for the season just before the tournament began. In IPL 2022 Rajat Patidar came in as a replacement for Luvnith Sisodia and straight away made an impact for the side in the previous season.
The side gave him an extended run last season and the right-hander played exceptionally well to score 335 runs in eight games, including a century in the Eliminator against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He continued this form even in the domestic season and was even included in the Indian side.
Rajat Patidar Is Missed By Royal Challengers Bangalore In IPL 2023
Rajat Patidar at No. 3 offered a lot of solidity in RCB’s batting lineup in IPL 2022 and as they could not find the right option in 2023 at the spot as they altered between Anuj Rawat, Shabaz Ahmed, Glenn Maxwell, and Mahipal Lomror in the nine games so far.
RCB’s batting in IPL 2023, predominantly depends on their top three batters Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell to perform as their middle-order batter struggled to score in the end overs finishing the game for their side.
Rajat Patidar was in fine form before the start of IPL 2023 and he has scored a half-century in each of his last seven first-class games and also had a terrific Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Madhya Pradesh where he scored 272 runs in six games at an average of 54.40.
