England batsman Will Jacks has been ruled out of the ongoing tour of Bangladesh with a thigh injury. The Three Lions are currently in Bangladesh for a short limited-overs series tour.

Both the teams are currently involved in the three-match ODI series. Following the ODIs, they will lock horns against each other in a three-match T20I series. The visitors have already clinched the ODI series by winning the first two games. The third and final ODI will take place on Monday (March 6) before the T20Is get underway on March 9.

Will Jacks was originally part of the only the T20I team but was later added to the ODI squad after an injury ruled Tom Abell out of the series. The 24-year old went on to make his ODI debut and played in both the games of the tour so far. On his debut, he scored 26 runs and picked up 1 wicket.

His sojourn in Bangladesh, however, has come to an early and unexpected end due to a thigh injury. Will Jacks has been ruled out of the tour after suffering an injury in his left thigh during the second ODI. He is reportedly set to return to England in the next 48 hours.

Will Jacks’ injury will be a major concern for Royal Challengers Bangalore (IPL 2023) ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023).
