Punjab Kings wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma said that their stand-in skipper Sam Curran is open to taking suggestions from his teammates on the field. England all-rounder captained Punjab Kings brilliantly to help them register their fourth victory in the league stage.

The 24-year-old was handed the responsibility absence of their regular skipper Shikar Dhawan in the last three games and has done outstandingly well for the Punjab side.

Speaking to the media, after their win against the five-time champions, Jitesh Sharma praised Sam Curran for his captaincy skills and said that he is very calm and composed on the field and reiterated Curran has a resemblance to Shikhar Dhawan in the captaincy skills.

“Sam is someone open and loves to take suggestions and is very easy to talk to on the field. He never feels pressure and knows what he is doing and that’s a good thing for him. Shikhar (Dhawan) bhai is the same character and that’s why PBKS take the same decisions. Sam has an attitude similar to Shikhar,”  Jitesh Sharma said.
