Mumbai Indians veteran spinner Piyush Chawla backs star Indian batter–Suryakumar Yadav to come good in the forthcoming games as he suffered a dip in form in International cricket. The world number one T20I batter has been through a tough time in his cricketing career as he struggled to find form starting from his forgettable debut in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023.
Suryakumar Yadav has been struggling in recent times following his three consecutive first-ball ducks in the three ODIs between India and Australia. The 32-year-old has scored only 16 runs in three matches he played so far in IPL 2023.

“Surya’s form was never a concern. It takes only 10 balls to make a comeback in this format, you hit four fours and you are back in form. He got out on the first ball, but that happens, the situation was such. That could have been a four or a six too so this happens The kind of batter Surya is, he’s high on confidence and it’s only a matter of 10 balls, and he’ll be back to his form,” Piyush Chawla said.
Suryakumar Yadav had an exceptional outing in T20Is in the year 2022 scoring over 1100 runs and scoring 2 centuries as well. He will be keen to make a comeback as soon as possible in this edition of IPL 2023.

The 2011 World Cup winner Piyush Chawla makes comeback into the Indian Premier League 2023, after missing out in the previous edition as he found no takers. He bowled a match-winning spell against Delhi Capitals. Chawla picked three important wickets for just 22 runs in 4 overs.

Speaking on his own performance, the 34-year-old said that he always tries to give his 100 per cent effort to the team and tries to contribute to the team’s success in the best way possible.
“I’m not playing much of cricket like domestic or competitive cricket but I make sure whatever game I play, I put my more than 100% and body on the line. I make sure I am bowling with my full potential,” Piyush Chawla added.
Piyush Chawla is the sixth all-time leading wicket-taker in the IPL. He has bagged 161 wickets from 168 matches at an economy rate of 7.86 and he also scored the winning runs for Kolkata Knight Riders against Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab) in the 2014 final helping KKR to secure their second title in IPL.
